a Sponsor letter might help, but if the sponsor is the main dtv holder be aware that the amount is 2x not

Thanks James, I know you think a DTV holder can use his 500.000 Thb unlimmited times for others.

I know you think a wife and 3 children can all use the same 500.000 thb, which will be 100.000 Thb each.

BUT the application website DOES ask the same question, 500.000 Thb in a bank account or a sponsor letter, where the sponsor is later asked to show proof of finance, and that is not divided by all family members, friends, neighbors and other beneficiars.

What is the difference between application questions and the final decision of Embassy staff?

Just ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to change the website, do not ask for 500.000 Thb as some anonymous people love to share that it is actually 5 Thb.

It depends on where OP applies. We applied in Hanoi, and both my husband and I had to show the funds. My toddler was fine with just a sponsorship letter.

Not really, The main DTV holder will write a sponsorship letter.
