Can someone explain in further detail what exactly sponsorship letter I need to apply for the DTV visa? I work in sales and under 1099 contract so essentially I work for myself so not sure how a sponsorship letter applies in this scenario.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a DTV visa, there's a requirement for a sponsorship letter if you're applying as a dependent. This letter is typically used when a dependent, like a spouse or child, is applying based on the primary visa holder's DTV status, indicating that the primary holder will be responsible for their financial support. However, if you are self-employed and applying for your own DTV visa, a sponsorship letter is not relevant to your situation.
Sponsorship letter is for a dependent that is applying for DTV based on another DTV. Like a wife applying based on their husband, or a child applying based on their parent. The sponsor letter states that the primary person will be responsible for the financial aspect of the application.
Not relevant to you.
