Question. Is it better to first apply for myself and later for my wife, or should I do it all at once? Usually residencies are first decided for the applicant and then (if approved) for the partner.
I appreciate your advice!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus is that you cannot apply for residency together as your application must be approved first. Once you have your residency, your wife can then apply as a dependent. Alternatively, if you both have separate accounts with the required balance, you could apply individually, which may expedite the process.
If you both have a account with 500.000 baht, in your seperate names, you can apply separately ( not dependant ) you can apply individual which cuts the visaprocess to about half.
You cannot apply together. You must have yours before she can apply for hers. One of the requirements for a dependent DTV application is the already issued DTV of the sponsor.
