Do you need to show proof of insurance when re-entering Thailand on an O-X visa after the first year?

Has anyone left the country within the first year on an O-X visa that can advise on their experience with insurance? Do you need to show proof of coverage for the next 12 months when you fly back in?

I am intending to apply for the O-X soon but will be making trips out of the country to do some travel occasionally, most likely every 6 months or so

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus among commenters is that once you have shown proof of insurance upon your initial entry with an O-X visa, you do not need to provide insurance documentation for subsequent re-entries during your visa's validity period. It appears that only the first entry requires proof of insurance for a full year; thereafter, you are not asked to show it again when you re-enter the country.

and I was afraid this would turn into a "this insurance is better than that one" thread. SO on that note we're done.

you hopefully got your answer, you are NOT asked every time you enter. So you're good to go

do you know if you show proof of insurance when you re-enter the country on an OX after you got the first 5 year entry stamp?

they shouldn't do anything really until possibly the 5 year mark,

Do you get stamped in for the same date you did when you entered and got the first 5 years or every entry is a new 5 years from the date you enter?

I leave and return every 2 weeks. I do fifo mining in the North of WA on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster and live in Bangkok

thanks. Did you take out a minimum cost one with AXA to cover the requirements for application and then get better insurance elsewhere?

I’ll have a look. There’s a 300k excess one with AXA that’s about 6000b for the year

nope, AFAIK, because people with the O/X (from anywhere but Australia where it's easier to get) are thin on the ground, you only showed the year insurance when you stamped in the first time, and get the 5 year entry stamp. Then when you exit/re-enter you do not show any insurance after that.>

let's see what actual O/X visa holders say though.. I don't want to give you wrong info
