My husband and I are in US and planning to apply for the DTV visas. I have a couple of questions and hoping this group can answer.
1. My husband works remotely and will continue to work for this company when we move. As a spouse, do I need to wait until he gets his visa in order for me to apply for mine?
2. One of the questions on the application is the address of a location we will be staying in Thailand. We have not been to Thailand yet. Do we need to have a place to live secured before applying for the visa? Could it be a hotel?
3. For the employment verification, do we need to get a letter from the company or would a paycheck stub or an offer letter when he got hired sufficient? He’s been working for this company just over a year.
Thank you in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the process of applying for DTV visas for themselves and their husband. They asked if they must wait for their husband's DTV visa approval to apply for theirs, whether they need a secured address in Thailand prior to applying, and what constitutes acceptable employment verification. A response clarified that the spouse does need to wait for the husband's DTV approval to apply, confirmed that a hotel address is acceptable for the visa application, and emphasized the importance of a formal employment letter from the company for remote work verification, along with supporting financial documents.
