DTV Spousal Sponsor

Hi everyone, 

My husband and I are moving to Phuket on the 13th of February and plan to stay there long term. 

I applied for my DTV in December and it was approved early January. We have now applied for my husbands DTV visa through the Dubai embassy, with me as the main sponsor - he submitted everything suggested, including sponsor letter, my bank statements and his (as his main account balance is below the threshold), however they are still asking for HIS bank statements again showing the minimum 500k balance for 3-months - my statements far exceed the minimum threshold as the main sponsor so we are abit confused and not sure what to do from here. 

If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.

You can try and reason with them but it might cost you 10,000 baht. Alternatively you can both come to Thailand and he can go to a nearby embassy and apply for the dependent visa with a sponsor letter, or you can put 500k to his bank account and then apply.

DTV_BegPecker For 2 persons 2 times 500k are necessary, and the 500k us jyst a visa requirement.

Some people keep telling it is only needed when you approve, but nobody did show any proof for that.

Embassy and immigration told me it is a visa requirement for the whole period.

That also means embassy now can ask for his 500k.

Difficult to tell what are consequences for now.

Does your account have 1 million bhat? 500 for him and 500 for you? If less, this might be one of the embassies that requires it to add up to a million.
