Do I need to visit the embassy after getting my DTV visa approved via email?
Hi. Wanted to ask about DTV visa. If I get it approved (in saigon now), do I need to go to the embassy here (to stamp the passport), or is the approval email the end of the story?
Answer summary
Once your DTV visa is approved, you do not need to go to the embassy for stamping. The approval email includes a PDF file that serves as your visa. You should print this document and keep it for your travels, as it may need to be presented each time you enter Thailand.

Technically they know you have a visa but it’s always best to show the pdf file. Many people have been given exempt stamps in error. Check your stamp each entry.

If approved they will email you a pdf file. That is your visa. You don’t go to the embassy.
