Dear All,

I have a question regarding the upload documents for applying the 60-day tourist visa. I will apply this in my home country-Hong Kong. For below 2 upload request, is it both need to upload my Hong Kong Identity Card please? As I am not sure for Item 7. Thank you so much.

7 . Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. (In case that you are not a national of the country in which you are applying for the visa.)

9 . Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether a Hong Kong Identity Card is needed for two specific document uploads while applying for a 60-day tourist visa from Hong Kong. Community responses confirm that the HKID can be used for the first question regarding legal residency, while additional documentation such as a utility bill may be required for proof of residency in response to the second question. Other users share their experiences regarding the online application process and documentation requirements.

I am also from HKG and may need to do a 60-day tourist visa.

Are you doing your application completely online? Or do you need to visit the consulate for them to check your application documents?

you can setup you own ID and password, then try to fill in, afterwards you can see what documents will be required to upload.

It's okay for trying to fill in as each application will only be valid for 14 days.

After you uploaded all required documents, you can pay the evisa by credit card but it is non refundable if application is failed.

Yes, did it on line, no need going to the consulate. But you need to upload all required documents during application. Not complicated.

As someone who actually uses the HK consulate, I upload HKID for the first question and address proof like utility bill for the second.
