When on a tourist visa.. I have just got a new passport due to running out of pages, do I need to get this tourist visa transferred over from my old passport to my new one by immigration here in Bangkok before flying to Kuala Lumpur or can I just show them my old passport along with my new one at the airport? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling on a tourist visa in Thailand, if you've obtained a new passport, you don't need to transfer your visa to the new document. Instead, you can simply present both your old passport, which contains the visa, and your new passport at the airport. Customs will stamp your departure in the new passport.
hi grant, when you get a new passport they give you a letter to take to changwattana BUT.. you do not need to waste a day going there for this. You simply just show your old passport when you go to customs and they will stamp your departure stamp in your new passport when leaving. I did this when i got my new passport and had no problems
I picked up my passport from The Trendy building and went straight to the airport. They will stamp you out in your new passport, and they also write a little note next to the stamp.
definitely, you're just on a tourist visa stamp, NOT a long term extension, you'll be fine going to the airport with both passports. They'll note you switched passports in the new one and stamp you out on it.
Definitely? The trendy building said to me I needed to fill in this form they gave me and take it to immigration, but I need to fly out tonight so was hoping could do it the way you have just said
