TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you need to show your non-immigrant O visa at Bangkok airport to receive the appropriate 90-day entry stamp in your passport. If you don't show the visa, you risk being given a tourist visa exemption stamp instead.

I showed mine entering in Feb & they did not stamp it in. Had to change stamp at Blueport mall Immigration office. Check your stamp!FYI

Just hand your passport (Which should have the visa already in it) to the nice immigration officer. The officer will then put the appropriate stamps in your passport and hand it back to you.

it won't be in his passport. He's received it on line. He needs to show it to get the correct stamp in his passport.

Why wouldn't you show it? You received a non-O Visa and you don't want to show it?

you show the printed E-Visa.pdf document upon entry into Thailand. You will get stamped in for a 90-days "Stay Permit". And the visa itself will become invalid (it is only good to use for ONE entry). You can apply for a "1-year Extension of this Stay Permit" based on the reason this Non-O visa got issued for, on Immigration, if you fulfill the requirements
