Hi.I apply for a non o retirement visa. They ask me how many days I will stay in Thailand. What do I need to fill in?

If I get the visa, can I go with a one flight ticket? I don't know when I come back home to visit my family.

Thank you for the advice.

I'm from Belgium BTW.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non-O retirement visa, you can indicate a stay duration of 90 days, even if you're unsure of when you'll return. As for travel requirements, it is possible to enter Thailand with a one-way ticket. However, some applicants have mentioned that the application process may ask for proof of onward travel; therefore, it might be wise to provide a tentative flight number or details regarding your return plans, even if it's not verified.

I arrived in Thailand again in September 2025 with a one way ticket from Europe.

I had a Non Immigrant Type ( 0 ) process in the London Thai Embassy web site online.

After satisfying my financial details and other information I received my 90 day ( E- Visa )

Which I show at the Airline check in desk on boarding the plane.

When arriving in Bangkok Airport Immigration desk I just show my passport & ( E- Visa ) on my phone in emails. No problems

Once you get here to Thailand if you donโ€™t have a Thai Bank Account already you need to get a lease on a property or if you own your own the house book and passport & E-Visa

Take to immigration office and tell them you want residency permit to open a Thai Bank Account. Go to the Bank with all this paperwork and hopefully open a Thai bank account.

I would suggest open two accounts. One to deposit the 800k Bth for your extension of stay ( retirement visa )

Requirement

The other as you daily current account.

After minimum of 45 days go back to your Thai Bank and get a letter from your bank for the 800k and also photos copies of the current account transactions

On the same day take this paperwork along with two passport photos and passport photo copies. Photo copies of ( E-Visa ) letter of residence or house book to the Thai Immigration office and fill out the forms supplied.

The staff at the Hua Hin Immigration office are very helpful and speak English very good. If you need any more photo copies or passport photos there is an office behind in the car park that can assist you for low cost.

I would suggest getting a multi entry visa save you a lot of trouble if you need to leave the country and return in the next 12 months. Total Cost around 5,500 Bth

Lodge your application with passport etc

No commission been paid HaHa ๐Ÿ˜›

Only here to help this was my experience and opinion

Good Luck

The Mods here advised 100s times, you might have picked a wrong line. There is something like "not staying more than 90 days", then you do not need that onward travel data.

The non o visa is for 90 days so put that (no matter how long your going to stay)

Also unless I'm mistaken it asks for onward travel when you fill out the application for the 90 day non o visa.

You can try it with just your flight to Thailand but they may request onward travel.

I just put my return flight number and date but no proof required. I'd just pick a suitable flight number and put that.
