TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for showing flight tickets when applying for a Digital Tourist Visa (DTV) for Thailand varies by embassy. Some individuals report that their embassies did not request flight tickets before DTV approval, while others experienced a requirement for actual, fully-paid tickets. In general, presenting a flight plan may suffice in place of an actual booking, but it ultimately depends on the specific consulate's rules.
It's totally embassy dependant. Mine (Seoul, Korea) did demand real fully paid tickets. I sent them my one way ticket on Thai Airways and was approved.
Anonymous participant 182 you can most likely just add the flight number you intend to arrive on (that is my plan for Chicago's consulate). Search for flights on your intended entry date and you can grab the flight number that way.
