Some advice please. I am going to apply for a METV in a few months time and for the application will book a flight to Vietnam before the first 60 days is up. Do you also have to show details of a return flight to Thailand when you apply? Thanks for your time.

I never showed a return flight back into Thailand for my metv,just showed flight to Thailand and flight to Malaysia before the first 60 day runs out,i apply in England if thst helps

You can extend that 60 days ,30 more 1900 baht

For official paperwork purposes, my initial entry was only 20 days long. I had a real ticket in, a ticket out 20 days later, and proof of accommodation in Bangkok for those 20 days. Some Agoda/Booking properties offer fully refundable reservations without prepayment. Despite everything being online these days, the I.O. still scanned these documents on arrival in BKK.

To apply for an METV you normally do so in your home country, there have been some reports of them being issued recently in Vietnam though. Generally you need to show a reason as to why you need a multiple entry tourist visa, so you should have a ticket into Thailand, a ticket out of Thailand and a ticket back out of Thailand

, I live in France so will apply from here. The first trip will only be for a few days so I will get a return ticket , which I will summit when applying. I will go to Vietnam again as well as a visit to China is it worth mentioning that?
