I don't know if I got an answer, but do I need 20000THB in cash to enter as tourist, or are funds in bank account (non Thai) sufficient?

okay, IF you are asked for proof of funds when entering the country (when you stamp in) you MUST show CASH <- 20K baht or the equivalent, you cannot show a bank book, a credit card etc.
