Do I need to provide proof of profit or business contracts when applying for DTV in London?

Hi

I have recently registered a freelance business in England. I want to apply for DTV in London but wonder if I will be asked for proof of profit for my company or business contracts. I obviously don’t have any yet but can satisfy all other requirements of DTV.

I’m just wondering if anyone has a similar situation and were successful in receiving DTV. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the requirements for applying for a DTV visa in London after recently registering a freelance business. They are concerned about the necessity of providing proof of profit or business contracts, given they do not have any yet, while expressing that they meet all other requirements for the visa.

You need to be able to prove income and show tax returns, I've just done it. Your basically showing your concept works and you can sustain yourself, at this time you have no proof.

Yes I have experience of owning and running a business.

This is a legitimate business that I can run from anywhere in the world. I just like Thailand 😊

I don't think it's too out of line to have a newly formed business to possibly take advantage of what the DTV is offering and you are looking for some work. Do you have any previous experience or work history in this field?

That’s true. Why do they sometimes ask for tax returns though ? Proof of business maybe?

im assuming having money really helps and has done with past METV. if you have a very healthy bank balance/investments then they are more lenient as they know you can support yourself and will bring in decent money to spend. just my theory

just a guess, but i think for cases where the "portfolio" looks like it may not be legit. a live website would be legit id hope
