I did a search, but I wanted to make sure I have the most up to date info - when applying for a 30 day tourist extention (I'm an American, currently on my first ever visa exemption), chaeng watthana does NOT ask for the TM 30, right?
I read about a month ago that they were not asking for it there. Just wanted to confirm this is still the case. TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry seeks confirmation on whether a TM 30 receipt is required when applying for a 30-day tourist extension at Chaeng Watthana, especially for someone on a visa exemption. Responses indicate that as of the latest updates, the TM 30 is generally not required, though experiences may vary as some have reported mixed responses at the office.
Just to confirm as everyone has suggested and provide the most up to date info available, chaeng watthana did NOT ask for a tm-30 today when I did my 30 day tourist extension.
The standard advice is that this is not needed in Bangkok, but there are stories that they have started to ask foreigners to file it. It would be good to hear how you get on
use a bangkok address, (have the COMPLETE address) and you should be fine. At this time there is NO requirement to show a TM.30 receipt when getting a 30 day extension on 30 day visa exempt entry stamp.
