Do I need to provide a specific Thailand address in my visa application if I'm currently abroad?

ORIGINAL POSTER
The application is asking for my Thailand address for when I return.

I’m currently travelling and applying from another country obviously, so I have no idea where I will stay when I return. Is that something they check up on or am I overthinking? But I just put a random address, a random date and book a very cheap hotel on Agoda for that date or is it not an issue?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is unsure about the necessity of providing a Thailand address on their visa application while currently traveling abroad. They consider using a random address or booking a cheap hotel for the date of return. Community members respond by suggesting that short-term hotel bookings are generally acceptable, and some recommend using a previous address if available.

When in doubt, use "B 120 Chaeng Watthana, Soi 7, Thung Song Hong, Lak Si, Bangkok

Hotel booking short term should be adequate.
