TLDR : Answer Summary
A TM30 form is typically required when foreigners stay in Thailand, but it primarily falls under the responsibility of the property owner to report your stay. If you're only visiting for a month and don't plan to visit immigration offices, you likely won't need it personally.
The TM30 form remains mandatory in Thailand and is a legal requirement under the Thai Immigration Act of 1979. The primary reporting obligation lies with the landlord, hotelier, or owner of the accommodation where a foreigner is staying.
The only time a TM30 is needed is when you're going to your immigration office for something. If you have no plans to visit immigration and are just staying for a month, then you have no real reason to pursue a TM30. It is still a legal requirement though for the property owner to report you using TM30.
