TLDR : Answer Summary
For the DTV medical treatment visa in Thailand, it is generally not required to pay the hospital upfront. Instead, one typically needs to secure an appointment with the hospital and provide an appointment card to the consulate. However, you must have an active and ongoing treatment plan during your stay in Thailand. It's important to note that some may recommend a minimum of six months of appointments as part of the treatment plan.
You do not need to pay the hospital. My consulate required an appointment card from the hospital. So you can make an appointment for 1-2 weeks after your arrival to thailand. Have them email you the appointment card. Idk what these people are talking about with entire treatment plans and all that. I simply did not have to do that. Maybe itβs changed recently?
is this a letter from hospital or consulate? can you try with a different hospital/ consulate maybe?

DTV God it was just from another persons post a few weeks back ,
Sure they could try a different hospital , but apparently they are really clamping down on medical DTVβ¦. Because they already have a medical tourist visa people are being told long term treatment plan or if they only have one or two booking they will be given a medical tourist visa π
Minimum 6 months of appointments and treatmentplan is what i got told

You certainly need an active ongoing treatment while your in Thailand. And actually attending it. Thats the whole point. The medical one is not one to try and cheat with

You will also most likely need to visit the hospital first also for a diagnosis and treatment plan π
