Which document should i prepare for DTV application based on medical treatment?

Im currently under treatment at a major hospital after an accident last year.

Will the recites for the treatments i have received the last 10 months be enough?

Im currently awaiting between treatments and dont have more than a verbal agreement to return to treatment when conditions are right.

Im retired an have pension every month.

Im getting a financial guarantee 500k from my family to support the application

All information on how i should prepare, and where to go and apply for smooth experience will be received with gratitude

Thanks in advance :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a DTV visa based on medical treatment in Thailand, you will need to prepare several key documents. Firstly, a detailed and signed treatment plan from a Thai hospital is critical, as it outlines your future medical needs rather than focusing on past treatments. Additionally, it's advisable to provide documentation of past treatments to support your application, but emphasis should be on future appointments, ideally booked for the next 6 to 12 months. Financial support, such as a guarantee from your family, should also be documented, ensuring the funds have been in your account for a period before applying. Overall, prioritize the future medical needs in your application.

I tried the medical route and the hardest was obtaining a business licence from Samitivej hospital. They wouldn't provide it and the embassy wouldn't approve my application without. So I would check if your hospital will give you one

Past is a positive, but the future 6 months is a minimum. Treatmentplan and 6 months worth of appointments is needed from a thai hospital

if the money comes from your family into your account make sure they season in there for a few months. Make also sure to have booked appointments for the next

months from a respectable hospital, embassies care about the future, the past doesn't give that much help.

Based on what you said...I suggest you look at getting a DTV Visa using a soft power activity... not medical.

Some of my customers had to show the original quote of a health assurance to pass with DTV visa. If you need just messenger me with your full name and your birthdate, I can prepare. 🌸

Now that's quite a different story from your initial claim.

As for experience with health insurance...I am a retired insurance professional of 33 years from the USA, and my biggest book of business was in health insurance.

As such, I have followed with interest the health insurance issues in Thailand for 20+ years.

Bottom line... insurance companies are in business to insure, but need to be prudent whom they insure.

The issue of preexisting conditions is important for the viability of an insurance company.

Thank you for your helpful insight.

Take care of All those who may seek your expertise of getting health insurance in Thailand with preexisting conditions.

spam reply. There's NO requirements for health insurance for the DTV visa. And preexisting conditions are NOT 🚫 going to be covered in any new policy. 😔😔

Thank you for your comment. šŸ™

Maybe it would be helpful to read carefully what I actually wrote before replying. I never claimed that health insurance is a requirement for the DTV visa. And pre-existing conditions are going to be covered in new policy 😊 get you informed first 🌸

Pardon me as I believe you are wrong about pre-existing conditions being covered in a new health insurance policy.

I'm sure there's many folks already in Thailand that would like to purchase that policy which covers their pre-existing conditions.

, thank you for raising this point šŸ™. As an OIC-licensed advisor working daily with the 41 approved private insurers in Thailand, I can confirm that while most policies exclude pre-existing conditions, there are case-by-case solutions after medical review. 🌸 For anyone interested, I’m happy to explain options privately.

You must have a treatment plan from your doctor. Past payments, and treatment, are not relevant, only what long term treatment is still medically needed in the future.

Get a long term detailed and signed treatment plan from an hospital here in Thailand. You can indeed add your past treatments to support your application but focus on the future ones.
