Hello, as I read online Visa Exemption is now 60 days.
Do I need to prepare any documents? I hold a European passport and will arrive by flight from Vietnam
Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold a European passport and are arriving in Thailand from Vietnam under the 60-day Visa Exemption, generally, no specific documents are required. However, you might be asked by your airline for proof of onward travel (a ticket out of Thailand within the 60 days). Some travelers have also mentioned the possibility of being asked about proof of funds and accommodation, but this is rare and usually not requested by immigration. Most experiences indicate that the immigration process is straightforward, often only requiring you to state your intended length of stay.
Nobody asked for anything. Not the airline not the immigration officer. They only asked how long I was going to stay so they can stamp either 30 or 60 days visa. I said 60 days, got it sorted within a minute with fingerprints & photo.
All good! 😁

Proof of onward travel, more commonly checked by your airline than by immigrations.

Your passport will depend on the issuing country. European passport is meaningless .

No documents are needed. Theoretically you could be asked for proof of funds (20K baht) and accommodation (99% sure it wouldn’t happen), but you might risk your airline will ask to see an onward ticket within 60 days.
I am planning to extend for another 30 days after the initial 60 days pass. Can I book a bus ticket to Laos to show them? Or must it be a flight ticket? 🙂 (Bus ticket is cheaper and easier to pass on than flight ticket)
This is not an official statement, it’s from the Thai Embassy in Oslo Norway, and the embassy in London is equal. Normally an air ticket is your safest bet, but based on feedbacks I know someone is allowed with a bus ticket without any questions, some after some discussion, but some are also denied. If you would go for just a bus ticket I would suggest you printed or saved this from the embassy in Norway and showed to the airline staff if any questions asked.
Now there’s also a direct train from Bangkok to Vientiane.
okey cool I will print a bus ticket then! Thank you for your help I appreciate it :)

The only thing you might realistically be asked for is proof of a ticket out of Thailand within 60 days. Normally it's your airline that will require this.
How about flight 90 days after entrance (exemption 60 days + extension 30 days),is that allowed? Or I need flight within 60 days and change my flight later after I extend exemption?
