Hi,

I am an indian passport holder. I recently secured a one year multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai from the Thai embassy in Myanmar. Does this mean I need to bounce in and out every 90 days? Also, I found a job in Thailand with starting date in early August. The employer is ok to assist with work permit. So, is it ok to work in Thailand with a Non-O visa?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Indian passport holder with a one year multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai must exit and re-enter Thailand every 90 days to maintain visa validity. The user can legally work in Thailand with this visa as long as the employer assists with obtaining a work permit.

Great news, and congrats on getting multiple entry Non-O marriage to a Thai from the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon.

Yes, if you have a Non-O visa sticker saying "multiple" as No Of Entry, you are stamped in for 90 days every time you enter Thailand until the "valid until" day. You have to leave every 90 days and enter again on that visa to be stamped for another 90 days.

And yes, you can legally hold a work permit on that visa. Still, you have to bounce back every 90 days (or less).

thank you for your reply. If I do not wish to leave every 90 days, would it be possible to apply for a one year visa extension at local immigration office in Thailand? I do have the 400k in my account for the necessary amount of time.
