When getting the covid extension in Bangkok I have a question on the TM30. In Chiang Mai I had to go to another office at the immigration center and get a physical piece of paper to stick in my passport even though my hotel had registered me. Do i need to do the same in Bangkok, where do i get this piece of paper , is it the same room as the other visa extensions? My hotel has assured me I have been entered in the system and I have a photcopy of form they filled in but dont know if this is enough, trying to get everything in place so I can make the whole process as smooth as possible when I head there this week. thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Bangkok, you do not need a physical TM30 paper for your visa extension if your hotel has registered you. A screen grab printout of your online TM30 record is sufficient. This differs from Chiang Mai, where you were required to obtain a physical piece of paper from the immigration office. It's recommended to bring a copy of the TM30 form filled out by your hotel as a backup.

In Bangkok, the screen grab printout of your online TM30 record is good enough. Do you mean that piece of paper is the bottom half (or

) of the TM30 form? You need to show that part of the paper TM30 form only when you were registered at the immigration office in person or by postal mail.

I'm not familiar with this piece of paper. IF the immigration office asks for a TM30, they would want a screenshot printed from the hotel.

Are you asking where you will go to get your 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19?
