Do I need to buy a ticket out of Thailand with a DTV visa after being outside for two weeks?

Im holding dtv visa , been outside Thailand for 2 weeks . Should I buy a ticket out of Thailand within 6 months or not really nessacary?
Or the immigration won't even ask it for dtv

rarely, if ever, asked for (especially for DTV) but they have the authority to ask you to show 20k or equivalent IN CASH, so just better to have it in the off-chance they do ask
