TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for an E-Visa to Thailand, it's possible to do so up to three months in advance of your arrival. However, it's recommended to apply about 30-60 days before your trip for flexibility. Most embassies do not require proof of flight or hotel bookings; they only need your intended travel information. You can enter details of a flight you plan to book without needing to have made the actual reservations at the time of application.

why don't you just start the proces? Then you will see the questions - see what's required - you will KNOW how to fill it out. You don't HAVE to submit it ๐Ÿ˜… You can delete it yourself and it will be automatically deleted as well after a period of time.

John Molloy that's the way you work. I prefer to see exactly what is required for the application and the only way do that is to start the application process. Progress can be saved so no time is wasted. Requirements can change and hearing what others did does not necessarily mean that that's still the way to do it. But never mind.

Best to apply about 30-60 days before your trip, that way you have some flexibility if your plans change and you need to delay the trip.

As far as the visa application, most embassies do not require proof of any bookings. They just want to know your intended travel information.

Shane Kinneally the visa validity to enter, is three months from date of issue. The validity of the stay permit you receive when you enter is for 90 days

Shane Kinneally on arrival your 1st day of 90 is activated and the IO will stamp you in and out with corresponding dates in your passport

Thatโ€™s my experience last week when I came in on a Non O

Do note that validity of non-o visa is usually 90 days so be careful about applying too far in advance. 4 weeks should be plenty of time even in high season.

When i applied for my non O retirement visa I looked for a flight at about the time I wanted to fly and put those details into the online application. I ended up booking my actual flight on a date 3 days after what was on my visa application
