Is it mandatory to have a hotel and flight booked in TH prior to submit the application?

First I need to know if my visa will be approved, then I plan my trip. It's a common sense.

I'll be applying workcation from my home country in case it matters.

The user manual.pdf from their website mark accomodation and flight as mandatory, but the examples are for different visas, such as tourist and diplomatic visa.

Any clarification would be helpful.

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
It is not universally mandatory to have a hotel and flight booked before applying for a visa to Thailand; requirements vary by embassy. Some embassies, like London's, may require pre-booked flights but not necessarily accommodation, whereas others may have different rules. It is advisable to check the specific requirements for the embassy through which you are applying and to be prepared for possible requests for proof of accommodation and flights after submission.

Depends on the Embassy. If they ask for a ticket pay the extra and get a flexible one.

In the check list they doesn't mention these documents, but after submitting my partner was asked to provide them otherwise the visa won't be proceeded

I can confirm UK wanted my flight e-ticket. I booked an apartment that was free to cancel. I ended travelling a month later than my application said. My ticket was flexible

It depends on the Embassy

Common sense is following the requirements to apply for a visa.

Not making your own, feel free to apply OR search a destination who has requirements matching your ideas of rules and regulations.

It depends on the embassy.

For example London requires pre-booked flights but no hotel. Malaysia - KL requires fully booked accommodation for 6 months at least.
