TLDR : Answer Summary
The applicant is considering applying for a Thai visa from neighboring countries like Laos or Vietnam and is unsure if they must apply from the country where their employment contract is based. Commenters clarified that applications can be made from various countries that accept non-resident applications, including Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. However, it's advised to have a proper contract for freelance work when applying.
