Hello all, I have a Non B immigrant visa with work permit. It's had its yearly renewal completed. My wife (Canadian Passport Holder) got her non o visa valid for 3 months in the USA before coming back to Thailand in December. We are going to immigration to now get her 1 year extension on the 3 month visa. Do I need to go with her?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires if they need to accompany their wife, who holds a Non-O visa, to obtain a 1-year extension after initially entering Thailand. Responses indicate that the husband should accompany her, as her application relies on his long-term stay, and that additional documentation from his employer may be necessary for her trailing spouse extension.

I also think you will need documents from your company that state she's allowed to get a 'trailing spouse' extension off your non-B extension.

There is going to be quite a bit of documentation to do it.

SO

I'd suggest you BOTH go out (take your work permit too) and see what is required for her to get the matching trailing spouse extension

it is what it is, GO to the immigration office with someone from your employer and get the hand out and list of documentation you need so your wife can get the matching extension. It's either that or she has to leave there's not a lot of leeway on that ๐Ÿ˜•

Yes as her application is based on your long term stay
