Hello all, thanks to the helpful members of this group and especially Tod Daniels, I applied for a non-O visa based on marriage last week. I have already been visited by immigration at home, and I'm scheduled to go back to CW next week to get my stamp. I have a few questions though:
1. Does my wife need to go with me when I go back to CW to get my stamp?
1. Should I get my bank book updated each month to show that there is at least 400K in the account?
1. What is the process to apply for the 1 year extension? I was told I could apply up to 1 month before the expiry of my non-O visa and that the money needs to be in the bank for at least 2 consecutive months prior to application. Is there a list of requirements somewhere?
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user has applied for a non-O visa based on marriage and has questions regarding the process. Key points include the need for their spouse's presence during the visa stamping, bank account maintenance showing 400K, and the process for applying for a 1-year extension. Comments clarify that the spouse is not required at the time of stamping and that requirements for the extension can be obtained at the immigration office.
