What documents do I need to bring when re-entering Thailand after a trip to Hong Kong with a DTV visa?

I’m leaving Thailand to go to Hong Kong tomorrow and will return some time next week. As I understand, I don’t need a re entry permit, and may be asked for proof of funds & to show a copy of my DTV certificate.

Is there anything else I should be aware of/bring with me?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You are leaving Thailand for Hong Kong and returning next week with a DTV visa, which allows multiple entries without needing a re-entry permit. Ensure you bring your visa confirmation PDF, passport, and complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). Although you likely won't be asked for additional documentation, it may be wise to carry proof of your visa eligibility, such as bank statements or proof of earnings, as individual immigration officers can have varying requirements.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

There are clear and obvious things you def need (visa, passport, TDAC) but the real problem is that individual IOs can ask for virtually anything, whereas most won’t ask for anything else. It sounds like DTV is particularly vulnerable to this with people on ‘Soft Powers’ option being asked to prove stuff like attendance on the course/training, accommodation, even some being asked for return travel booking (which is a bit crazy on a DTV). DTV’ers on Workation option have been asked for proof of earnings, proof of bank deposits etc. 90-95% of the time chances are you will not be asked for any of these things, but it can and does happen.

Bringing documents that prove that you are still eligible for your visa may not be a bad idea. Mostly, you will not be asked for those. There were a few cases, some DTV holders were asked for proof and stamped in on visa-exempt when they couldn't show them.

If you have a DTV it's a 5 year multiple entry visa. <- That means the re-entry permit is built into it and you can enter thailand as many times as you want to with each entry getting you a 180 day entry stamp.

PRINT out the PDF file that they sent you in the approval email <- that is your visa. Hand it and your passport to the officer when you stamp in and CHECK your entry stamp before you walk away from the counter to make sure you got stamped in for 180 days :)

Also don't forget to fill out a TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) before you come back to the country (you can do it from 3 days before your arrival right on down until you're standing in the arrival hall waiting to stamp in, <- there are free kiosks at the airport.
