TLDR : Answer Summary
You can travel to Thailand for 34 days using a UK passport. Upon your return from Vietnam, you will receive a new 30-day visa exemption. Ensure you have a plane ticket showing your exit to Vietnam to avoid any issues at the airport.
As long as you have your plane ticket showing your trip to Vietnam handy in case your airline asks for proof that you're leaving Thailand within 30 days, there shouldn't be any issue. You might need another ticket showing your exit from Thailand to show your airline in Vietnam also.
thanks π I have all the flight βοΈ tickets in my file and departure from Don Mueng Airport to Hanoi and return date from Hanoi to Don Mueng Airport πΉπππ
I only visit once a year until I retire in 4 years time π I had a similar event last January and I had Hanoi booked for 2 weeks itβs beautiful, I intend to keep it on my list I do realise a long term visa from the Thai embassy in London but I just figured if Iβm that close then fly from Bangkok Don Mueng Airport and fly back to sunny βοΈ Thailand πΉπ
With that history youβd have no issues. Theyβre looking for people who are trying to buck the system with copious back to back short term visas or exempt entries.
ok π thanks π I had a similar event last January and I love Hanoi so much and only 2 hours from Don Mueng Airport I could get an extension visa from the Thai embassy in London but I fell in love with Hanoi and I intend to keep it on my to do list until I retire in 4 years in sunny βοΈ Thailand πΉπ
