TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the requirements for extending a Non O Visa while needing to return to their home country every 100 days. Key points included whether a lease longer than three months is necessary for the extension, and reporting requirements during absence from Thailand. The response indicated that some immigration offices might require a longer lease but it is usually not mandatory, and that no reporting is needed if leaving, although a re-entry permit is essential to maintain the visa status.

1) That depends on the immigration office. Some might require a long-term lease for the 1-year extension, but it's not a common requirement.
2) There's nothing to report if you leave. But you will need to get a re-entry permit so your stay is not cancelled by leaving. If you have to leave every 100 days, you might consider getting the multiple re-entry permit rather than purchasing a single re-entry permit each time. Each one takes a full page in your passport.
