Do I have to keep my funds in the bank forever after receiving a Non Imm O-A Visa from the UK?

Quick question which I’ve tried to find the answer for but can’t.

I’m applying in UK for a Non Imm O-A Visa (currently waiting for funds to season and get medical certificate and police check).

Once I receive my Visa do my funds (£20k) have to stay in my bank forever (I can find answers to this but I think the answers I have found apply to this Visa being obtained in Thailand not UK, but I could be wrong).

Thank you🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
Once you receive your Non Imm O-A Visa, you are not required to keep the funds in your bank account indefinitely. Individuals have confirmed that after your visa is issued, you can move or use the money. It is important to distinguish between the initial visa application requirements and the annual extension requirements that you may face while in Thailand.

Do not confuse the requirements for funds for getting a visa from a thai consulate in another country with the requirements for getting a yearly extension of stay inside the country at the immigration office.

From my experience last year. Just forward the bank statement for 3 months signed by the bank showing your account. No need to keep money in after acceptance. I did my by post and was returned in 5 days.

no, once your visa is issued you're good to move the money or use it
