Hi all,

A question about the immigration office in Hua Hin.

I plan to ask for a 60 day covid extension before November 21 when my current visa runs out. I've read that some immigration offices ask for some document from your embassy stating that you can't travel back home, while others don't.

Does anybody have experience with the Hua Hin office? What do they need for the 60 day extension?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 60-day COVID extension at the Hua Hin immigration office, you will need to provide several documents including your passport (and copies of relevant pages), a TM30 form, specific immigration office forms, a letter or documentation from your embassy indicating you cannot return home, passport photos, and a fee of 1,900 THB.

Hua Hin wants the following.

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and want to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters [NOTE the OR's].

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

thanks! Are there any inmigration offices close by that make it easier?

You can not pick and chose your immigration office; you must use the immigration office where the TM30 was submitted by the property owner.

If there's something that says "we don't issue the letters", print it off, then go to translate.google.com, type in the URL, and translate it into English and print that off. They should issue it.

If not, send the consulate an e-mail asking for that letter.
