Do I still need a letter from the Australian embassy for the 60-day COVID visa extension in Thailand?
Does anyone know if I still need (or can get) a letter from the Australian embassy saying I cant return - for the 60day covid extension? I will go to the Phuket immigration office. Thank You!
Answer summary
A user inquired whether a letter from the Australian embassy is still necessary for a 60-day COVID extension in Thailand. Comments confirmed that Thai authorities have stated that such a letter is no longer required, and as a result, the Australian Embassy does not issue these visa support letters anymore.

From their website, "We have been informed by the Thai authorities that a letter from the Embassy is not required and therefore the Australian Embassy no longer issues visa support letters.".
