TLDR : Answer Summary
You can obtain a re-entry permit while holding a Non-Immigrant B visa with a 90-day stamp, allowing you to leave and re-enter Thailand as long as you return before your visa stamp expires.

so you've got the Non-B visa and a 90 day stamp issued right?
You can get a re-entry permit which will be valid only as long as your current stamp and exit/re-enter as long as you're back before your stamp expires
hi Tod thank you for the reply. Yes, we need to leave Thailand for one week it will be within initial 90days, but work permit wonโt be completed yet. So I am confused if re-entry permits are depends on completed work permit. Also if we obtain multi reentry will it be valid for following visa extension ? OR once you get visa extension for another 9months you need to buy another re-entry?
first off let's the any talk of the work permit out of the equation ๐ฎ It has nothing to do with what you're wanting to do
As I said ANY re-entry permit you buy will be good only until your current stamp expires <- SO don't buy a multiple re-entry permit ๐
Wait until AFTER you get your year extension (it won't be for just 9 months it'll be for a whole year) then you can get the multi-re-entry and it'll be good for your whole extension
