Can you apply for the DTV in Taiwan if you don't live there?

I live in Singapore (I'm not Singaporean, I hold a French passport) and am considering going to Taiwan to apply for the DTV from there.

Has anyone else had experience with this?

Thank you for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether a non-resident can apply for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Taiwan while living in Singapore. Most comments suggest that it is indeed possible to apply as a non-resident, with one user asserting that they confirmed this via email from the authorities, highlighting the process's efficiency.

Yes, you can apply there as a non resident. I have been in touch with them via email and they confirmed this. Same day approval and considered one of the easiest to deal with.

Looks like a "no"...

If you live in Singapore on long term visa why not apply there. I have dealt with them for "B" Visa previously. Very efficient.
