TLDR : Answer Summary
Applying for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) while traveling without a permanent residency may be possible, but requirements can vary by Thai embassy. Some embassies may require a local address or residency status, while others might accept a hotel address. It's recommended to check the specific requirements of the Thai embassy in your current location.

You just want to roam for five years? What an abuse of the system.

systems are built to serve humanity.

If your concern is an abuse of the system and not saying something unhelpful and unkind to an actual human, you're the one being abusive

Using a visa for it's intended purpose is not abuse.

wtf, what exactly is the abuse by being full time traveler? What a weird judgement

isn’t that exactly what the DTV is designed for? People who want to come in and out Thailand for up to 5 years, for 180

Days at a time. I don’t understand why that is an abuse of the system?

@Matthew *******
you’re not bright and it’s ok move along

ok hotshot Mr know-it-all wise-ass. Your inputs are not helpful and you're rude. Grow up or keep your mouth shut

There is nothing wrong with folks living a nomadic lifestyle and they asked a legitimate question.

🤣 we are full time travelers with our 2 kids. How is that abusing the system if we have our own business and hubby wants to learn muay thai?

@Florence ***********
if you have your own business that business must exist somewhere and pay tax somewhere? If so that is probably the best way to apply for the DTV rather than Muai Thai

@Florence ***********
no such thing as full time travelers. Not if you want a visa saying you’re living somewhere.

I feel irritation seeing your laughing emoji. Also feel no wish to explain or justify to you our lifestyle.

You'll need to check the Thai embassy where you are at. Some require you to be a resident of the country, some do not. Some require you to have an address in the country, but most will probably accept a hotel address. It's all down to the embassy where you are at.

For example, I have seen people report that Vientiane and Ho Cho Minh City accepted non-residents. But take nothing for granted.
