Hey,

Has anyone had issues collecting their new digital work permit?

My husband visa is about to expire and his company is unable to find appointment to get his work permit collected. Has anyone tried recently to exted their visa while waiting for work permit to be collected?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses difficulties some expats may face when collecting their new digital work permits in Thailand, particularly when their visas are about to expire. One user shares their positive experience at the TIESC in Bangkok, where they successfully extended their business visa and collected both digital and physical work permits. They noted the process was thorough, involving interviews regarding professional history. Another comment inquires about the digital work permit and the necessity of having a work permit to obtain a new visa.

I was at the TIESC in Bangkok last week, organized by my company, to extend business visa and work permit. Got the digital and physical one. Everything went smooth.

They are more thorough now. There was a brief interview what my professional history is, what I do in my job, and where I live.

The appointment was booked two weeks in advance.
