My wife and I are dutch citizens living in Sweden. We have a NoN-retirement visum that expires 14 March 2025. We are leaving Thailand 1 April 2025. I cannot apply for a one-year extension because my pasport expires 3 Augusti 2025. And my wife cannot apply because she cannot get the necessary documents for an income certificate of the swedish embassy, due to the loss of her telephone with the identification details needed.
Do you know if we can get some kind of visa extension between 14 March and 1 April?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The couple, Dutch citizens living in Sweden, has a NoN-retirement visa expiring on March 14, 2025, and plans to leave Thailand by April 1, 2025. They face obstacles in applying for extensions due to the husband's passport expiring shortly after and the wife's inability to obtain income documentation. Comments suggest potential solutions including applying for a new passport and extensions, a border run, or applying for a dependent extension for the wife.

You live in Sweden and you live in Hua Hin, nice, but where are you?
a New Dutch passport takes 4 weeks, so YOU have time enough to apply for a new passport and a new 1 year Extension of Stay before 1 april.
Your wife can apply for an Extension of Stay based on being your dependent and that has NONE financial requirements the same day you apply for your 1 year Extension of Stay.

Perhaps the best is to take a border trip both.We live in Hua Hin. The nearest place would probably be Ranong, Myanmar?
Then we need to apply for short-time visa to Myanmar and back to Thailand?

If you're going to bounce you need to do it soon because you need a passport to have 6 months validity to get IN to Burma
We are dutch citizens. My pasport expires 3 Augusti. We only need 3 months exempt. ( we are leaving Thailand 1 April) Can we get that in Malaysia you think? (In Birma we need a passport that is 6 months valid)
hmm, I "think" you will need the 6 months to enter Malaysia as well, best to check on a MY immigration site ๐ค

Lloyd Turner you can get your 1 year extension, then get it transferred to your new passport at no extra cost, your wife can apply on line for a 90 day visa, then apply for the 1 year
Nope, extension would only be until passport expiry. The wife could apply abroad for a new Non-O, but for now she would be easiest to border bounce.

As for your wife, all I can think of is a quick border bounce to get a 60 day exempt.

There is no short term extension available to you. You could apply for your yearly extension and that would be valid until your current passport expiry.
