Can offering a Muay Thai course for visa extension help applicants feel more secure about their immigration status?

With all the concerns about immigration requesting an additional Muay Thai course on extension ( after 6 months)

I'm ( I own a muay thai gym) considering doing this (2nd document pack) for our customers for free ( well maybe an admin charge of 2 or 3k) if for some reason they didn't complete the 6 month course of 26 classes in the first 6 months.

Would this or something similar give applicants the confidence to go down the soft power route without fear of being stung for a second course?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the idea of providing an additional Muay Thai course for applicants seeking visa extensions in Thailand. The gym owner considers offering this support for free or with a nominal fee to help clients feel more confident about navigating the immigration process. Comments suggest seeking clarification from immigration offices for guidance, with mixed feelings about potential implications for visa application legitimacy. Overall, the proposal is viewed positively as it can ease anxiety related to visa extensions while promoting the gym's services.

When you say extension after 6 months, you mean within the country at immigration? You can just pop out and come right back for another 6 months right? What you're talking about is just so your clients don't have to leave I think? Thanks 🙏

If I was you, I would not be asking this question. Essentially it would be aiding in a fraudulent application to offer this.

You would however have a database of customers that you could easily email in the future for assistance without it really being public. đŸ€Ș

Just saying.

no way am going to do anything dodgy mate. I'm just considering a good way of keeping the customer from feeling cheated by moving goal posts. I might consider buy 1 get 1 free fir example. I definitely have not or will not be involved in any sharp practice

why dont you ask immigration to give some guidelines for the extension at their local immigration office? it could be that easy. you are one email away from having the information.

yea I hear ya, but coz this hasn't happened yet its a gray area. Coz we still don't have anyone hit 6 months yet.

It's going to be interesting how immigration handle it.

don’t you think that question has already been asked many times over! Standard reply from Immigration, and in my case the Jomtien office, was “Sorry Mister no have”.

I think it's a great idea Derry. I think an admin fee is also more than reasonable, it is your time after all

thanks ... I'm actually a terrible business man but passionate about muay thai and the dtv has exposed many to my art. Those who didn't attend yet have helped me develop my gym. We didn't cash grab this opportunity we used it to create a better gym and business while facilitating people to stay longer in this beautiful country

I realise that and by considering the ongoing costs of visas you also give reassurance to people. And as we used to say in ad agencies, that's one of the big ones.
