Hi, wonder if anyone can help, I have looked on so many websites and tried to contact immigration but no success in the answer to my question.
I am looking to apply for an O-X visa which would enable my wife and son to be dependents. But I do not know if my son of 6 would be allowed to go to school based on this Visa. I would be grateful for any advise?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether their 6-year-old son can attend school in Thailand under an O-X visa, which allows dependents. A commenter responds that while a visa is not strictly necessary for school attendance, some schools may require it. The child can enter on a Non-O visa as a dependent, and if needed, the school can assist with converting the visa to a suitable type while in Thailand.

Technically, a person does not need a visa to go to school; however for some schools the schools may require the student to get a visa.
The child can enter on a Non-O as your dependent, HOWEVER, if the school needs him to convert the visa to another type, they can do that inside Thailand.
