Dear all, I have a different situation as I never seen this kind of question here. I have Airbnb’s in my home country and I manage that online, would it count as a source of income and prove of online work for the DTV visa? (Of course I have way more than the asked money on my bank account 😁)

Thank you all in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community suggests that Airbnb income can qualify as a source of income for the DTV visa, provided the applicant demonstrates consistent bookings and solid income through documentation. It's important to have evidence such as booking listings, profiles, and tax compliance. Several members confirm that others have successfully used rental property management income for their visa applications.

People have been approved for rental properties they manage in my home country So why not?

if you can prove you pay taxes on it and it's all fully legal, it should be ok otherwise I don't think its gonna be a good idea

yes , do you own these properties or sub let? you need to show contracts and deposit into your bank.

they didn't ask me for tax returns in laos vientiane but they did make me wait two weeks for an in person interview after paying 10k baht in laos vientiane all DTV visa have an in person interview in laos vientiane as of a couple months ago they posted a screen shot of a poster stated it , its really hard to find it ,grok over looked it. use grok AI helps a lot. if your from the USA you technically have 3 years to file back taxes . I was going to show them house property taxes if they asked but they never did. each embassy will be different i only know what laos vientiane embassy was like.

don't have to prove any of that.

embassies tend to ask for that document often, just to make sure u operate legally and u pay taxes ;)
