Are additional documents required for applying for a DTV visa as a remote worker in Thailand?

Hello everyone, I would like to inquire about the DTV. In my case, I applied at the Hong Kong Consulate as a remote worker, being an Israeli national and working for a Hong Kong-based company. The consulate requested additional documents, namely the Valid HK stay permit (Working Visa) + HKID. Is this a requirement for everyone, or is it specific to my case? Also, I would like to know the experience of others who have submitted additional documents and what steps they took.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question asks if additional documents, specifically a Valid HK stay permit and HKID, are necessary for applying for a DTV visa at the Hong Kong Consulate. One comment indicates that such requirements are standard for long-term residents of Hong Kong and Macau, suggesting that the additional document request may be common for applicants in similar situations.

Yes, the HK embassy only accepts applicants from long term residents of Hong Kong and Macau. It is clearly stated on their website. If you live and work there, you should be fine with submitting your permit and ID.
