Hi I am asking for a very specific request. I am on a Non-O multi entry based on marriage. I'm going back to teach at a school soon. I am trying to show the school it is perfectly legal for me to get a work permit with a Non-O based on marriage as they are getting confused by it. Is there a government/immigration document (preferably in Thai) which shows it is perfectly legal to work and obtain a work permit with a Non-O based on marriage? Thanks :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual holding a Non-O multi-entry visa based on marriage is legally allowed to obtain a work permit in Thailand. There are no prohibitions against this type of visa holder working, and to get confirmation, the school can contact the Ministry of Labour for further clarification on the legality.

There is nothing in the rules that prohibits a person on a year-long, multi-entry non-O visa (based on marriage to a thai or raising children here) from holding a work permit and legally working.

Glad it worked out for you (y)

Thanks Tod. They managed to speak to the Labour Office about it and eventually agreed with me on it. :)

Have them CALL the Ministry of Labour <- the people that actually issue work permits and ask the office themself.
