TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to obtain a work permit (WP) on a non 'O' immigrant visa based on marriage in Thailand. Several users confirm that they have successfully navigated this process, indicating that this approach is viable for expatriates married to Thais. Additionally, advice is given to consider switching to a marriage-based extension to protect one’s residency status in case of job loss.

NOT government schools.

Do you need a degree to get a WP ?

I always tell anyone working here, IF they are married to a thai switch to an extension based on marriage NOT one based on employment. That way IF they lose their job they don't lose their extension too ;)
