Hi, I obtained a Non-O visa (based on Thai wife) 2 years ago and then a year ago I extended my stay for a year (by Thai wife).

I'm now coming up to applying to extend again (by Thai wife) and am wondering if its possible to walk in to immigration at Chaengwattana for an appointment, or whether the appointment needs to be booked online in advance. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about the process for extending a Non-O visa based on their Thai wife, specifically whether they could walk into the Chaengwattana Immigration office or needed to book an appointment online. Commenters clarified that while immigration offices do not require mandatory appointment bookings, making an appointment can help streamline the process.

None of the immigration offices in thailand have mandatory appt booking required. They're all walk up, get a queue, wait your turn with the zombie horde that's there that day until your number comes up

BUT

with that being said, you can really streamline the process by making an appt

@Tod ********
, there's no appointments for non-O marriage.

that's the choice i'd pick anyway

@Peter ******
what is this choice

, on the immigration website, the requirements for visiting spouse or children don't have financial requirements. That indicates that it's different than a 12 month extension for marriage.

which while interesting still doesn't mean that choice I showed wouldn't work ๐Ÿ˜‰ but you could be correct, I guess it's gonna take someone trying it and failing to see if it doesn't ๐Ÿ˜•

I did remember when they rolled out the online program it did not have a choice for marriage extensions, so you could be right and it still doesn't

@Tod ********
, I always thought that "visiting" was different to living here.

@Peter ******
that's the choice I'd pick, even though I agree staying here long term because you have a thai wife is not the same as visiting,

BUT

when you pick the choice for the Non-O visa in the eVisa system for the thai consulates in the west it says "visiting thai family more than 60 days" for the 90 day Non-O

Perhaps you're correct and there is no choice for it, BUT I'd try that and belive me if it didn't fly they'd tell you in no uncertain terms ๐Ÿ™‚
