I have a non-immigrant 0-A Visa issued in the UK on the 18th of September 2019 it was valid until the 17th of September 2020.(multiple entry )

I got a multiple re-entry permit at Bangkok airport on my return to the UK suddenly as my mother died.

The Re Entry permit is valid until the 2nd of March 2021.

I’m now trying to get a COE in the Thai embassy in London and return as soon as possible using the re-entry permit.

So my question is :

Is that the re entry permit the same as my O-A Visa in effect so I can use it until the 2nd March 2021.

I am aware about the health insurance requirements ASQ hotels I will also need etc

Thanks very much for any help guidance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user holds a non-immigrant O-A visa that expired in September 2020 but has a valid re-entry permit until March 2021. They seek clarity on whether the re-entry permit remains valid despite the visa's expiration for their return to Thailand via the Thai Embassy in London. Responses suggest that the re-entry permit allows re-entry based on the last entry stamp until March 2021, making it relevant for their return, although all necessary documents are still required.

Gather all you papers required and email them to the Certificate of entry email and if you get your C of E you are good to go if you can find a flight.

You entered in March 2020 and were given a stamp allowing you to stay until March 2021. The reentry permit allows you to re enter Thailand and upon entry you will be given another stamp until March 2021. The fact that your original visa is now expired is irrelevant. You are good to go until the end of your previous entry stamp. You’ll still need all the other bells and whistles and hoops to jump through from the Embassy.

thanks very much that was what I was hoping.

I didn’t want to start paying for all the other things I will need if that wasn’t correct, and as above I couldn’t get a answer from the embassy.

Your help appreciated

Not sure, but I think ur re-entry permit expires when ur OA expires

Do as Brett said but my understanding is your visa expired and you need to apply for a brand new one.

If you are dealing with the Thai Embassy in London to get a COE, why would you not ask them this question and get a definitive answer?

I did do and only got a standard e mail response that didn’t answer my question and can’t get through on phone.

Thanks

I went to the London embassy four times to get answers all very vague. Finally got some useful info off this group.
