Hi, can the Emirates insurance be used to obtain COE. I used my staysure policy last time but probably won't be accepted now that Thailand is on UK red list. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Emirates insurance policy can be used to obtain a Certificate of Entry (COE) for entry into Thailand, provided that you have a return ticket on Emirates. A one-way ticket is not sufficient. Several users shared their experiences confirming that Emirates insurance covers hospital expenses for COVID treatment if you test positive during your stay, as long as you hold a return ticket. However, some advise to check with your insurance provider regarding COVID coverage specifically, as it may vary by insurance policy.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.

It depends on whether Emirates will cover COVID treatment specifically. I called my bank (I have a travel rewards credit card that gives me travel insurance) and they told me that they wouldn't cover COVID treatment as "there has been a Canadian government advisory against travel since March 2020." Annoying but insurance companies will use whatever loophole they can.
I know you’ve posted this a few times James but respectfully this was not the info I received from the Thai consulate here in Vancouver (happy to show anyone a copy of the email via pm). They stated that you need an onward flight if you are doing visa exempt, but that no onward flight is needed for a 60 day TR visa. Now this could be unique to the consulate here but that’s what they said. I have my COE already btw and am flying out Sep 14
the Emirates policy will cover your hospital bills if you tested positive for COVID with or without symptoms during your stay in Thailand... If you have a return ticket.
A one way ticket will not get you a CoE from the Thai Embassy to enter Thailand.
We have verified reports from expats who have had COVID positive test... With and without symptoms.. And the Emirates policy paid the hospital bills.
your a great help. Hope your next shite is a hedge hog!

What's your problem? There's no need to send messages like that you imbecile. There is so much information on the insurance etc, and for your information when one submits the insurance the requisite embassy staff will check and if its wrong or not sufficient then it will be rejected, which happened to me, so tell you what, go take your face for a shite, get and get a life!
