Hello!!I want to ask about the payment method.

I will go to Hanoi to apply dtv next week. The problem is that I only have UnionPay card.

Does the embassy website support UnionPay card payment? Or do I need to prepare a visa card?also how much is the application fee in Vietnam?

Thank you so much for your help!!

Answer summary

The payment methods for applying for a Thai visa at the embassy in Vietnam do not support UnionPay. According to responses, payments can only be made using VISA or MasterCard debit and credit cards on the Thai e-visa website. Alternatively, applicants can pay in cash at certain locations in Laos, which are not connected to international payment systems. The application fee is believed to be around 340 USD.

You have to look at the Thai e-visa website, because there you have to make the payment. And they only accept Debit and credit VISA or MasterCards. If its not possible for you to get one of these cards then you can apply in Laos. In Vientiane and Savannakhet you pay cash, because they are not connected to the international payment system. No credit card needed there.
